The Story Behind Around the World Word Search
The idea for Around the World Word Search began while I was browsing through a dictionary, discovering the names of cities and countries from around the world. I've always loved geography, and I thought it would be the perfect place to start.
Despite discouragement from my parents, I decided to pursue my dream of creating handcrafted word search puzzles. What began as a simple idea became a project that would take years to complete. Every puzzle had to be carefully researched, created, and checked to ensure accuracy and eliminate errors.
These aren't randomly generated puzzles. Every puzzle is built around real places in real countries. Players will discover cities, countries, rivers, mountains, regions, and even ghost towns and abandoned settlements from around the world.
As the collection grew, I faced another challenge: turning the puzzles into a mobile app. I didn't have the funding to hire a developer, so my wife stepped in. Despite facing her third breast cancer diagnosis, she decided to support this dream and helped bring the app to life.
This is a husband-and-wife effort, built on stubbornness and love.
